Conservation Education Program<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Nature Conservation Education Program, developed by SPVS<\/strong>, aims to reconnect society with nature, promoting changes in behavior, concepts, and values related to biodiversity protection.<\/p>

The Program carries out a wide range of activities, notably the production and distribution of educational<\/strong> and informational materials, the development of theoretical and practical guidance actions for natural area owners, school visits, and monitoring of activities in natural areas\u2014such as the Natural Reserves maintained by SPVS<\/strong>, as well as developing partnerships with public and private institutions, training professionals, and supporting effective communication about nature conservation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Nature Conservation Education Program<\/strong> aims to develop a sense of belonging to the environment and stimulate protection of natural heritage<\/strong>. The methodology developed by SPVS starts with a perception assessment with various audiences about the environmental reality surrounding them. Based on the collected information, the Program’s actions become a true instrument for change, allowing the implementation of context-adapted activities and the development of actions that generate awareness and concrete connections with nature.<\/p>

By supporting the Program, organizations, whether public or private, help build durable and long-term results for Brazilian biodiversity\u2014SPVS believes that education and awareness are the best paths to changing the way we handle our natural heritage.<\/p>

Partners supporting the Program can also access perception assessments, which can be useful for developing other environmental projects, including in partnership with SPVS. Additionally, there will be opportunities to publicize the results obtained with the Program and to feature the brand in materials produced by the Program.<\/p>

The actions and results can also serve as input for developing communication strategies, for use in socio-environmental reports, and for obtaining certifications, such as the LIFE Certification.<\/strong><\/p>

To all people and organizations, public, private, third sector, or research, who see education as a tool capable of expanding future perspectives. The Program’s actions are also directed at public and private schools, children and teenagers, residents around natural areas and Conservation Units, public and private institutions that recognize the value of natural capital, as well as teachers, educators, and companies from various economic sectors.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Nature Conservation Education Program has already trained over 3,500 teachers from the Paran\u00e1 public school network,<\/strong> indirectly reaching more than 140,000 students in Curitiba, Campo Largo, Piraquara, S\u00e3o Jos\u00e9 dos Pinhais, and Guaraque\u00e7aba.<\/p>

Teachers and education secretaries from the municipalities reported a transformation in class dynamics and greater interdisciplinarity with the environment in the classes, even years after the Program’s actions ended. Students also show more motivation and awareness about native biodiversity, participating more actively in school campaigns.<\/p>

The Nature Conservation Education Program<\/strong> was also responsible for developing the pedagogical methodology for planning and executing the Guaricica Experience<\/strong>, a public use initiative that offers reception and guidance on the interpretive trail. Visitors will hear the story of nature recovery and how the Guaricica Natural Reserve<\/strong> improved the lives of residents in Antonina and Guaraque\u00e7aba, municipalities on the Paran\u00e1 coast, during SPVS’s more than 20 years of activity in the region.<\/p>
